Mr. Balagopal Chandrasekhar, has a professional experience of more than 42 years, when he has been at the helm of businesses. He served the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) for more than 6 years. Then he started a bio-medical devices company which grew to world class levels and was eventually merged with the world leader in the business. He joined the Board of Directors of Federal Bank as an Independent Director, and then served as the Chairman of the Board. He has been associated with 64 CODON from its early stage.

Bala San, as he is fondly called, supports the Kerala entrepreneurship ecosystem, and is mentor/advisor to a few startups. He is closely associated with Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), Centre for Management Development, TIMed – the Medical Devices Incubator of SCTIMST, IIT Palakkad, etc. He is a sought after speaker to professional bodies and students, participates in webinars and discussions online, and is active on social media. He and his wife Vinita, manage ANAHA Trust, which funds socially useful programs and projects, in the fields of primary health, primary education, and rural livelihoods.

Dr. Hari has been working as a consultant to the healthcare industry globally for more than 20 years across all commercial functions. In his consulting projects, he develops forecast models, valuation models, business cases and commercial strategy for several pharmaceutical and biotechnology products. He is also an expert in health economics and market access and develops cost effectiveness models and budget impact models for companies launching new medicines and medical devices. Dr. Hari’s work enables companies achieve optimal pricing and market access for new medicines and interventions. This type of work includes collation of real world evidence from patient registries, systematic literature reviews and meta analyses to support the market access strategy developed.

He has founded and run a start-up in the healthcare space in the US. In this venture, he licensed in a patent from the University of Florida and raised funding from angel investors to commercialize oncology and sports focused products.

He has worked in major pharmaceutical companies in the US and Switzerland early on in his career (Bayer – USA, Novartis – Basel).

He also works part-time as a hospital doctor in the UK NHS in General Internal Medicine.

Dr. Hari has an MBBS degree (Medicine) from Trivandrum Medical College, India, an MSc in International Health Policy (Health Economics stream) from London School of Economics, an MSc in Leadership and Strategy (Sloan Program) from London Business School, an MSc in Finance (MiF) from London Business School, an MBA (MIM) from Thunderbird Business School (Arizona State University, USA) and an MBA from Cardiff Business School.

Dr. Shaji K Ayillath is the visionary founder and director of 64 Codon. While pursuing a membership program at the Royal College of Edinburgh, UK, in 2009, he had the opportunity to work with one of the world's best biorepositories at Edinburgh Cancer Hospital. This experience sparked a profound thought in his mind - "In India, why are we throwing away precious human biological samples as mere biomedical waste?" Driven by this question, he decided to return to India and embark on a journey to transform biobanking in the country.

In 2016, he founded 64 Codon and began building a dedicated team around his vision. With unwavering determination, Dr. Shaji navigated important regulatory aspects and steered the company towards its mission. The team shared his passion for developing the biobank business to benefit the Indian population's future healthcare. In 2020, 64 Codon achieved a remarkable milestone by launching the first commercial open network biobank in India.

Jayaram Subramanian brings over 25 years of invaluable expertise in instrumentation and automation for QC, R&D, and industrial labs. Having worked with multinational companies across Europe and India, he has been involved in numerous projects, spanning various roles, from grassroots to commissioning. Jayaram's deep commitment to making a significant impact in bioscience projects in India led him to join Dr. Shaji as a co-founder and director of 64 Codon.

Since joining the team, Jayaram has played multiple pivotal roles, contributing his vast experience to help 64 Codon expand its business. Currently, he spearheads network expansion projects, ensuring that the company's reach and impact continue to grow for the benefit of all stakeholders.

Dr. Durga Prasan, a co-founder and highly experienced medical oncologist, has accumulated close to two decades of consulting experience. Throughout his clinical and academic practice, he has been captivated by the "Why" question, which inspired his journey to become a Clinician Scientist. Dr. Prasan's passion for research and desire to tackle complex problems led him to seek out a team that shared his goals. His quest brought him to 64 Codon, where he now leads their Innovation projects.

Dr. Prasan's impressive academic qualifications and pursuit of a Ph.D. in life sciences at Mazumdar Shaw Medical Foundation, Bangalore, alongside his contributions to research collaborations with partnering institutions, demonstrate his dedication to advancing medical knowledge and practice.

Sreejith brings over 22 years of IT experience, having worked with top multinational companies across diverse industries, including Life Science, Oil & Gas, Financial Services, Telecom, E-commerce, Products, Healthcare, and Public Services. As a Data Scientist, he plays a pivotal role in 64 Codon's artificial intelligence project for Cancer research.

Haritha, a Master of Science in Biochemistry graduate, joined the 64 Codon team during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her unwavering commitment and passion for her work have made her a crucial part of the company's day-to-day activities. Haritha leads multiple projects that contribute to the seamless functioning of the organization. Her drive for continuous learning and professional development is evident from her achievement of a certificate in Essentials of Biobanking course, certified by ISBER & CTRNet.
